Walkathon 2005 The pictures might seem unusual for a walkathon.....but we tried to make it more than a walkathon by re-enacting an Underground Railroad experience for the walkers. It rained that day....and the creek that we had planned to cross....suddenly became more than a creek. With a little bit of ingenuity and team work, the parents were able to get the walkers across the water and on the journey. We staged some slave catchers, slave helpers.... along with some other obstacles along the route....with the objective of finding a 'safe house'. The backwoods of Centennial College provided us with an adventurous route for the event.
