Let’s Celebrate Kwanzaa

Coming together in community

Join us for a community event that honors our ancestors, supports local businesses, and fosters family connections. By uniting in this way, we seek to deepen our connection to our African roots and collaborate to build a better future for all.

This free event features music, drumming, performances, giveaways of children's books and gifts, a communal feast, and much more. All-day parking is available for $3.50.

Woodgreen Community Services, 2206 Eglington Ave. East, 7th Floor.

The [Kwanzaa] holiday, then will of necessity, be engaged as an ancient and living cultural tradition which reflects the best of African thought and practice in its reaffirmation of the dignity of the human person in community and culture, the well-being of family and community, the integrity of the environment and our kinship with it, and the rich resource and meaning of a people's culture. -Maulana Karenga

Kellie Carter Jackson

"I don't think there will ever be a time when the principles of Kwanzaa will not be important or timely. It's a great time for reflection and now more than ever our country needs to be reminded of unity."
